New A264 crossing

We were pleased to learn of the West Sussex County Council’s decision to include the construction of a pedestrian controlled lights crossing on the A264 by the Golf Club in its works programme for 2010/2011. The Golf Club will provide funding towards this as it will enable golfers and golf maintenance vehicles, as well as members of the public, to cross this busy road safely. The continued pressure from the CVA to protect the existing Common and the rights of access for villagers has undoubtedly influenced this decision and we would like to thank the Golf Club and WSCC for having agreed on the funding and scheduling into the works programme.
